Influence of mineral admixtures such as silica fume on the strength of grouting material
According to the grouting specification of the American Post-tensioning Prestressing Association: the strength of the grouting material for 7 days and 28 days must reach 21 MPa and 35 MPa respectively.
Experiments show that both the cement paste and the grouting material mixed with slag and silica fume can meet the requirements of the specification.
Compared with the cement paste, the strength of the grouting material decreases to varying degrees after the mineral admixture is added, especially the early strength. However, according to the time characteristics of mineral admixtures participating in the secondary hydration reaction, as the age increases, the strength of grouting materials mixed with mineral admixtures will reach and exceed the strength of cement paste.
